Star Inn

I woke up feeling mercifully clear-headed as I had a German lesson at nine, after which I spent a while packing and ensuring the house was shipshape before heading down to Salford.

I was due a run, today, but having exercised every day, this week, including squeezing in some yoga and weights, yesterday, I decided to listen to my body and just take it easy.

Charlie came 'round late afternoon, and we popped up to the Star Inn for drink and a chat. We had a couple of bits to chat about - to do with her job, and her mum - but that was the least of our conversation and we had an enjoyable time.

And we both made it home in time for the Sunday evening viewing of Harry Potter. Have I mentioned this before? The kids and I are watching a film a week, leading up to Christmas, and this week was 'The Goblet Of Fire', which is where I think the series really hits its stride.

And I tried for an early night: up at 02:45 tomorrow!
