A mini Blip meet
Look who we met today............... 'Edisteve'. The plan was to go to Musselburgh for a walk there, but our car is poorly, so he came to us instead and we went for a walk in the Hermitage. The Hermitage is one of my favourite walks and Steven hadn't been there for ages (in fact I don't think he's been there since Ann organised a Blip meet there on 31st December 2011) so it was lovely to do the walk with him. Unfortunately I was in 'silly puppy show off mode' so I did 'silly puppy jumping up at a couple of people. Seriously?!!............ I'm not a puppy. I'm a big grown up 6 year old Collie. Ann doesn't think that Steven believed her when she said I hardly ever do 'silly puppy jumping up' anymore?!!!
After our walk we went to the Merlin pub for lunch and Ann & Steven had fish finger ciabatta's and chips. By then I was pretty tired so I just lay down on the floor in 'good dog mode'. At least I did until Steven fed me quite a few chips. They were yummy.
When we got back to Steven's car he produced loads of pressies for me. Yay! How lucky am I? He gave me an illuminating squeaky bone, a ham & cheese croissant soft toy that Ann can fill with treats for me, and a packet of carrot cake flavoured treats. (See extras.) He also gave Ann a Christmas card. First one this year. How organised is he? Ann hasn't even bought hers!
Anyway, we always have a lovely time when we go out with Edisteve. Thank you for a fabulous walk, all my pressies and all the chips that you gave me for lunch.
PS – If anyone is interested our car is still poorly in the garage. Ann dropped it off for a service on Wednesday evening, so they could crack on with it first thing on Thursday morning. Mmmmmm................. not impressed. It took them till almost 4pm yesterday, to tell Ann that the oil for a Fiat had changed and they didn't have didn't have the right type in stock so they had to wait for it to be delivered. Surely oil is just oil? Ann didn't know different cars had different oil? Then at 5.30pm yesterday they phoned and said that that she needed a new tyre but they'd ordered one so it would be ready by midday today. At 10.45am today they phoned and said car was ready so she could pick it up, but Ann said she was out so would pick it up in a couple of hours. At 12.30pm they phoned and left a message to say that there was something wrong with the new tyre pressure and they'd ordered a new tyre so car would be ready at about 3-4pm. .....................Are you keeping up here? At 3.15pm Ann phoned them to see if it was ready, but no one answered, so we went out on my afternoon walk and popped in at 4pm only to be told that the 'tyre delivery' had arrived and dropped off the invoice but no tyres. Turns out we need two new front tyres cos they were down to the metal bits and the back tyres (which Ann thought would need replacing) are OK but will need to be replaced soon. Sooooo.............. latest info is.......................... new tyres will be delivered tomorrow and all being well we'll be able to pick it up by lunch time tomorrow. Ann isn't convinced, but what can she do?!
