On the window sill beside my chair are my essential reference books. I still refer to them frequently, even though I can now find so much on line. The book on birds is falling apart, it is used so often. The histories of Leatherhead and Surrey are both fascinating books to dip into. The magnificent Chambers Dictionary is hardly ever used now as it is so much easier to look it up on line, or even ask Alexa. The dictionary was a wedding present from Norman’s work colleagues in Shell and has such a lot of use over the years. There is no way I would get rid of it.
Breezy and wet down here in the south-east, no ill effects from Bert yet.
