At the dentist

Foreveryoung came round to our house with Eden after their swimming lesson this morning. It was nice for the cousins to have some playtime together today as they won't be seeing each other tomorrow like they usually do on a Friday.

In the afternoon, Ethan and I had a check up at the dentist. He was strangely excited about this when I told him where we were going! He watched intently while I had a scale & polish, then sat really nicely when the dentist checked his teeth too. Was very pleased to hear his teeth are in good condition and that we're doing a good job with the brushing. The receptionist then asked if I'd like the hygienist to paint a fluoride varnish on his teeth to help strengthen them. As he had seemed disappointed the dentist hadn't spent long looking in his mouth, I thought this boded well, so agreed to have it done. The hygienist was great and spent ages chatting to and playing with Ethan first. He got to clean some pretend teeth before helping clean Alexander the dragons. He then got to push the buttons to make the chair recline, which he thought was fun! She only painted 3 teeth today as she didn't want to push it with him. He seemed happy enough when we left though, with his free sticker, toothbrush and toothpaste!
