Kitty's First Snaw
A beautiful calm and frosty morning. Winds starting to pick up in the late morning, gales arrived with storm Bert tonight, along with showers. Still snow around, but may thaw overnight.
Up at 5am, a 6am start on the street beat cleaning. Washing out after work. Headed down to Laura's this morning, walkies with the dogs. A quiet afternoon at home, and much the same tonight. Walkies with Sammy, then heading out to see friends.
Kitty has made a good recovery from her operation, so today is the big day to let her out again, this time unsupervised. With the fine morning, she spend an hour and a half playing outside. Next time it was an hour. As the weather deteriorated, Kitty's time outside has got less and less, but she's determined to explore the big bad world, it's not all fun and games outside. She seems to be staying close to home, but runs away when I come to check on her, not wanting to come in with me. When she's come back home, she's been super affectionate and full of cuddles, one happy Kitty. She'll never see as much of Shetland as Sammy has, but she's happy exploring around the doors. Snow is a new thing too, especially with it being more like ice. Kitty exploring in the snowy garden, Hawthorn Cottage, Houl Road, Scalloway.
