Waterproof?
What a change from yesterday. It was windy, but dry, when I got up but by the time I went out to parkrun it was snowing hard - which I didn't expect as we weren't actually in receipt of any major weather warnings.
I decided to wear my waterproof trail shoes as they're quite good in the snow but by the time we'd started running the snow had turned to sleet and a bit later we got more rain - and then more of everything, though not too mch wind. The snow soon became slippery slush which splashed everywhere and the rain ran down my legs so my feet were soaked by the end anyway. The reason I rarely wear this pair is they don't help if the water can get in over the top and, unlike ordinary trail shoes, it then can't get out! This is some of what I emptied out when I got home (I needed bread on the way back and walking round the shop with squelchy feet wasn't pleasant) and I warmed up in the bath.
We're thinking of buying a new car net year so went out in the afternoon (light rain by then) to have a look at a couple, no decisions made.
Crafts and a bit more work for tomorrow after that.
