Another day of firsts xx
The picnic was done last night and put in the fridge, Eva and I were up around 8 am (apart from Sophie waking us up scratching at the bedroom door at 4 am) and we were being picked up around 11 am by Lisa to go to her mom and dad's caravan for the day down near Evesham.
I fed Eva, got her washed and dressed and brought her downstairs to sit in her new snug chair in the lounge whilst I sorted out the kittens and cats. I checked on her a few times, but each time, she was engrossed in the telly watching Squiglet. I was gone about 45 minutes in total and she was good as gold, bless her.
She had another quick feed but was so tired again by 10 am, I put her down for another sleep and went and got showered and ready for Lisa to arrive.
We went with Lisa, Harry and James, Louise and Rhys, and Louise and Charlotte and Liam.
When we got there, we lay the picnic blankets out and had our lunch first, then went for a stroll around the site, feeding the ducks along the way.
Then it was time to get ready to go in the pool. :-)
We got into our cozzys and Eva into her sunsuit, and I put her sunhat on which swamped her, and off we set. I was so excited, her first time in a swimming pool. Louise and baby Rhys had treated Eva to a pink inflatable, so I put her in that to start with, but she didn't really like it much, so I took her out and she seemed a lot happier. She did cling to me quite a bit and cry, but she was hungry again, so I got back out of the pool, wrapped her in a towel, and went and found a bench to sit on and feed her, then went back into the pool and she was fine once she'd had her feed. She was quite serious faced, but she was splashing her little legs off. I could have stayed in there for hours with her, I was just beaming.
We stopped off at a country pub on the way home, and the kids played in the play area while the moms had a drink. Eva was crying again as she was so tired by now, but she's also been showing signs of teething for weeks and weeks now, so I felt inside her mouth yet again, but this time I was sure I could feel a little, sharp tooth just starting to emerge on the middle of her bottom gum. Lisa had a look and confirmed it, she could see the starts of a tooth coming through, Eva's first little tooth!! Omg I cannot believe where the time is going, as if my baby girl is getting tussies!!
I got back home, and Mike, bless him, had done all the litter trays and fed all the cats, all I had to do was see to the kittens. He bathed Eva while I did this, then treated me to Chinese once Eva was fast asleep in bed, I am a very lucky girl to have someone so thoughtful in my life.
So, a day of firsts, first dip in a swimming pool and the starts of a first tooth!!
I have absolutely loved today!! Xxx
