Is it a moth?

Today's the day ...................... for strange creatures

I've no idea what this strange-looking creature is.

It was in the greenhouse on one of my fast-growing gourd seedlings. The seeds were bought in America and were given to me by my brother and sister-in-law as part of a very interesting birthday present. I'm growing the gourds - not to eat - but to make a bird nestbox.

You don't think that the strange-looking creature could have smuggled itself in somehow .........................?
