A Very Quiet Day
MrWK and I had a blast last night at Coyote's Bar & Grill where we ate burgers and listened to a super band. He was exhausted from a tough week of work so it wasn't a late evening. I've been very careful not to eat gluten since my Celiac diagnosis just 10 days ago and feel pretty good. Last night I must have eaten something that contained gluten because it was pretty evident that my body was not happy with me. For the life of me I couldn't get to sleep...I was anxious and felt weird energy roiling around in my gut. My joints ached and ached and I had cramps in my legs. Interesting how all of this felt "normal" (so to speak) and now of course it's not at all. I'll have to conquer the eating out part of this - I can't go through that again. MrWK on the other hand ate his burger, tater tots, my french fries and TWO servings of an insane chocolate cake with ice cream and whipped cream. My maladies could have been caused by the bite I took of his dessert, as much as I tried to avoid the cake. Oh well, a painful lesson learned!
I love cyclamen - I love the flowers during the winter, being cool weather plants that blossom all winter here in the PNW. And the leaves are so beautiful. I have so many of these lovelies - some are hardy and in containers in my courtyard and some planted in my breezeway garden. And I have a couple of florist cyclamen that are not hardy and are in my kitchen. This is a hardy one right outside my front door.
