Stone

This is a special piece of limestone. It was sculpted by Barbara Hepworth. She was a Yorkshire born sculptor who lived for most of her life in St Ives. Today we went to see the house where she lived. It had the most amazing studio filled with enough natural light to inspire any artist. The garden has many of her works including this one.

I still haven't been to the Tate but maybe tomorrow.

Tonight the gallery hosted a vernissage where we served guests with wine and nibbles. It was very well attended and all the artists had a lot of praise. We have sold more today than yesterday and we're hoping that sales will continue to pick up. We're all having such a lovely time though, so we're not worrying too much about what we sell.
