Knitting and Stitching Show

A real treat today! Janet and I went to the Knitting and Stitching Show in Harrogate.
We were lucky to get there though, as the roads on my route to Kirkby Lonsdale were badly flooded in some places. I drove through very carefully, but I know it’s not a good idea!
Anyway I met Janet in Kirkby and the weather sort of improved on the way over, and when we arrived there was an interlude in the rain for us to walk to the doors!
The entrance area was a display of quilts, some historical ones, and the winners of the Festival of Quilts from this summer. I was delighted to see these, the photo is a detail from the overall winning quilt and it is truly remarkable in its detail and quality of stitching…I will have to try harder!
There were plenty of knitting exhibits, and embroidery pieces.
And a lot of shopping opportunities!! We both had a little indulgence, as we work so hard at the market, we felt we deserved it!
We had a really good time and hardly talked about baking at all!
