Hill Top Ramblings

Corkscrew hazel

A little gardening happened today, as Storm Bert moved off to the East.
I am working round the shrubs, trying to get them so that I can strim around them next year and keep them looking tidy, with my new strimmer! That’s the hazel done, and we will be able to admire its curls through the winter.
Rob brought sacks of pony dung up to the veg patch, but the ground is too wet to get them turned in so they will have to wait. We have a good supply of manure at the moment so I’m going to fill up one of my compost bins to let it break down ready for spring mulching. Everything will be wonderful!
