Chester cathedral courtyard sculpture

Chester: where do I even start? We walked the city walls (around two miles ) we visited the Christmas market, the Rows ( shops and restaurants along the walls ), the Cathedral,  the Storyhouse arts centre, and we even went on a ghost walk . All tremendous. So,  too was the South Indian restaurant, Kokonut Grove.  

Favourite moment was watching the afternoon rehearsal in the Cathedral for the evening's opera concert. An orchestra played, and then a short man in a duffle coat stood on a plinth and broke into a stunning full voiced rendition of 'La Donna e Mobile'. It was as if the spirit of Pavarotti were there. The surprise of it  brought tears to my eyes.  

On Sunday we are going to Port Sunlight (as this is a backblio we've already been, but more about that anon).
