Storm Bert visited Chelmsford today with gusts of gale force blustery winds that tried to bowl me over and whipped up swarms of dead leaves  to momentarily form airborne whirling dervishes that chased a skittish Rufus.  Yet, in spite of the wind, the temperature was very mild and quite a few folk and their woofers were having similar fun in the park. No rain either which was a bonus. 

Much of the afternoon was spent making a vegetarian lasagne for me and my bro who had planned on coming to dinner until last minute.com when the neighbours above him had a water leak that dripped into his home, fusing the electrics and flooding his hall and bathroom - so while he waited for an emergency plumber I took the cooked lasagne to him to eat there.
