Monday: A Ship and A Blackbird

Storm Bert still around, the odd shower of rain, temperature around 10°C and breezy.

MrD noticed the ferry boat in today’s Blip this morning, I’ve been watching it through our bedroom window as well as on the Marine Traffic app, thought it would have moved with the improved weather but it’s still there …

I did a little bit of gardening late morning, there was a variegated ivy which was taking over, it’s now occupying a small part of the wall. I found a few large pots with spring bulbs starting to shoot, they’ve been moved onto the low wall so that we can enjoy their flowers in the new year :-)

The Blackbirds are enjoying the windfall Bramley apples which I’m crushing and throwing onto the grass, “feed the birds” …

The last job was to plant another Mahonia near the one that has been flowering for years - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3302313916759017078 - the Bumblebee might be the same one which is visiting every morning, sometimes there are two! They will both be queens at this time of the year.
