Winter Cherry Blossom

Thank you for all of the encouragement after yesterday's blip.  I'll (obviously) let you know how things go.

It was a lovely sunny day, though I decided against a swim as I was stuffed up on waking up and wondering if I'm developing a cold. Since we were away our winter flowering cherry in the front garden has been putting on a show.  It was difficult to photograph in situ, because of the wind, so I clipped a small section and brought it into the garage where a shaft of sunlight illuminated it while the background was in shadow.  I always marvel at the complexity of nature so took this close up.

Later we headed to the shops for some retail therapy. It seemed that everyone else had the same idea and we suffered the traffic on the way home.
