Up and at 'em, out early doors for the longest bike ride of the holiday so far - a favourite route with a cafe stop chucked in (a perfect cortado for €1.80 in the middle of nowhere - come on British coffee culture, we can do this!!).
And then, as the day was a bit on the overcast side, we took oursens into town where I fortified mesen with a big plate of grilled sardines on the seafront before the second perfect cortado of the day along with a scoop of hazelnut ice-cream at our favourite little cafe.
Home for swimming and sun and reading and there's an evening of backgammon ahead of us. I took enough photos of volcanoes and the like on my bike ride but, honestly, who doesn't like a bit of finely-detailed rope at an open-air pool? That's rhetorical, obvs.
