An ordinary life....

Today...

David was at Death's Door and he lived to tell the tale!

He's been complaining of a headache and neck pain and was putting it down to a tooth that the dentist is keeping an eye on.  His dental appointment on Saturday (that he cancelled due to Storm Bert ) was to have the tooth checked out, but he remembered last night that he's been to the dentist at this time of year the last two years with the same complaint, and it's not connected to his tooth.

This morning he wondered if it might be muscular and if a sports massage would help.  He rang Death's Door,  new massage parlour that opened on our High Street (and recommended by Judy Murray) last year and managed to get an appointment.

While he was there, Lauren arrived at 11am to do my nails.  I've been having them done monthly since Andrew and Nikki's wedding in July.  I really love it as I can just forget about them and they always look nice, but I know it's not good for my nails in the long term.  I've decided I will have them done for Christmas and again in January for my birthday, then have a break after that.  This time I had a change and went with a deep Burgundy red (I normally chose pinky/nude colours) I've also chosen the colour I want for Christmas...similar but with a tiny bit of sparkle :-)

David returned from his massage feeling much better, if a tad tender.  Apparently his shoulders, neck and back were spectacularly tight.  He's been told to try and relax his shoulders as much as he can.  Today's massage was described as medium relaxation massage, but he's going back in two weeks for a firmer, deep tissue sports massage.

After lunch I started a new crochet project that I won't say anything more about at the moment except that I am really enjoying it.  Will blip in due course :-)

Butter chicken for dinner then an evening watching Vera and crocheting.  A perfect winter's night :-))
