No fog on the Tyne

The company which replaced Shona’s conservatory roof and windows came to give us an estimate for ours. He was full of himself and talked on not just about his wonderful product and all the satisfied customers but also about his holidays and all the people here he knew and blah blah blah. He thought he could do it for a huge amount which we said was out of our range. He then said one person had said that and he’d told them their £100,000 Lexus would have lost £x on leaving the showroom whereas his product would add value. I said on his way out he could have a look at our car and he’d get our perspective. In an hour he was on the phone offering a fifth off. Would I buy a used car off him?!!! Needless to say we are getting other companies in.

I only walked 2.5 miles today but it was to see Hazel who has been ill with very high blood pressure.

Mr C is beavering away with the travel insurance claim.

I was stuck for a blip so am using the one #2 daughter sent of her and Phil. For his birthday she arranged a kayaking trip down the Tyne. They and the boys are learning the skills on Saturdays. It must have been chilly on the river. I liked the view back down to the bridges.
