New shoe cubby holes
There are some quirks of my gym that I really love. One of them is very similar to a practice that was in place at my school: the members change into 'indoor shoes' to wear in the building beyond the main reception area. We have cubby holes to store our indoor shoes when we are not in the building, and in which to place our outdoor shoes when we are there. In the past couple of weeks the joiner has built some new cubby holes, as blipped. I'm sure that they will all be filled with footwear soon.
My day comprised exercise in the morning, then domestic duties (including tidying and preparing supper), and picking up the research task that I started yesterday this afternoon. I'm feeling more and more stressed about the latter.
Three nice things happened today:
(1) I bumped into Harry on my walk to the gym. He and I share Richard Godden as a mutual friend. (Richard plays the newsreader in the Diary of the war podcast series.)
(2) The staff at the gym had popped my (very expensive) headphones into the lost property box on Friday when I left them behind on a bench in reception. I only noticed that they were missing this morning, and panicked a lot before guessing that I must have forgotten them after last week's pilates class.
(3) Mr hazelh bought me flowers.
Exercise today: 1 hour on the exercise bike; aquafit class; swim (20 lengths); strength training class; walking (12,594 steps).
