Fading grandeur

Had to meet a colleague at a hotel briefly on Tuesday. For somewhere with such history it felt a bit tired and jaded and even the lounge bar was shut so coffee had to be ordered from the restaurant. Maybe the lingering lurgy making me a bit critical.
