The sky is blue this
morning and I am very 
thankful for sunshine

It was a relief to roll out of bed just after 7 to find a brighter day. I made my coffee, then took it out the backdoor to bird in my backyard. 

The sparrows never disappoint me. They seem to be very interested in the yard even when there's no bird seed out for them. They watch me watching them. 

One sad mourning dove sat on the top of the brick wall for the longest time. It finally flew away making that whistling sound they do. 

I can never catch the hummingbirds that flit about the trees and bushes. Unless they perch, I have no hope of a portrait. 

The elusive mockingbird was giving me furtive glances from the far side of the orange tree. I keep waiting to hear it sing. 

So, I'm in for the day. I cut fabric yesterday so I should get sewing now. No more dillydallying.
