The Tweed from Old Melrose

Jim is unfortunately chained to his laptop during daylight hours, but he found a slot where we could do a quick jaunt around this side of the village. It was a beautiful day and so all the views (to the Eildon and  Cheviot hills) were stunning.

Later, Nancy, Moy and I headed down on foot to Dryburgh Abbey and then on to Scott’s View. Tired and in need of some cake, we stopped in at the excellent Old Melrose tearoom where toasted tea cakes were inhaled.

Later, we watched the village lights switch-on and then retired to the Hunter’s Stables restaurant for top scran and wine. Phew!
