It begins.
It’s not Advent until Sunday but I have started putting a few things out. The festive branches hanging in the hall are where I’ve planned to hang my felt ‘12 Days of Christmas’ figures so I’ve had it out a little while to check if they all fit and to see how they look.
I finished the last one, 12 Drummer Drumming bottom right, during the week to add to the ballet shoes for 9 Ladies Dancing, top left; 10 Lords a Leaping, top right, and 11 Pipers Piping, bottom left. In the centre you can see them all in place together with a few selected ornaments.
Chris has got the tree down whilst I was out at The Tittle Tattle Tea shop, this morning so I will start on that tomorrow.
In the extra you can see a bit of my other sewing project this year. It’s a family tree for the girls. I hadn’t planned on doing this but it was given to me. I managed to fit in two spaces for the girls names instead of just one. It’s was tricky to photograph as I didn't want to show all the details but you’ll get the gist. It was framed at the same time as the Advent calendar I did for the girls which Grace assures me has a gift and chocolates for every box ready for Sunday! (See the extra on the above link)
Having a bit of a chill now as I’m out this evening to see Black Adder Goes Forth by the village players.
Happy Friday all.
