Men in silly hats ..

or not in Chris’s case. He does have a silly hat but it says ‘Bah humbug’ and he’s banned from wearing that! (He has worn it on a couple of occasions with the same group in the past)

We were in Bingley this afternoon for the Christmas lights switch on. Out Community Choir were singing and here you can see our leader, some of the men who stand in the centre, and the ladies who sing the melody. You can’t see me as I sing harmony on the other side of the men. A fun start to the season.

A busy day. I started by putting up the Christmas tree. We then walked around an estate further up the village delivering over 100 Churches Together Christmas cards and the village newsletter  ‘Tittle Tattle’. It’s very mild today so we were both lathered by the time we finished!

Back home I finished decorating the tree before we headed down to Bingley for the singing.
Because Chris hadn’t had time for his usual Saturday morning shop we headed straight from the singing to Sainsbury’s for a few things for tomorrow’s Sunday lunch and to fill up my car with petrol. Returning through our estate lots of Christmas lights seem to have gone up.

Phew! I think we’re done now. I can turn on all our twinkly lights and settle down to watch Strictly!
