Mating bouquetin
It’s the start of the mating season for the bouquetin. The males and females live separately but the herds join together at this time of year. Today this male was very persistent but he approached all thirteen of the females with no success.
A male with large horns had a half hearted attempt with one female. The weather was sunny and warm so I spent 1 hour 45 mins watching the herd. I was surprised at one point when one appeared right next to where I was sitting. See extras. Wonderful to spend so much time with these fabulous animals.
