Xmas bollard covers
Around the co-op, they are so cheerful.
Yesterday we went to the hospital to Oncology dept. to see the specialist re Paula's recent CT scan, and it was clear, no sign of the melanoma cancer in any of her organs, which was a great relief. She went through the next process which would be by infusion every 6 weeks to keep the cancer at bay and help prevent it, but the side effects are numerous ,and very nasty and some can land you in hospital anyway. So after a long chat and careful thought, Paula decided on Plan B which is CT Scan every few months and blood tests, then if there are signs of the melanoma cancer coming back it will be picked up. As she said at her age, 82,does she really want to be going to hospital every 6 weeks and suffering most of the time with side effects some which can attack the kidneys or the heart, especially if they are not too good anyway, some other side effects are vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, skin rashes, muscle ache, impaired vision, dizziness, etc etc. the list is endless. Her oncology nurse contact said after she felt that Paula had chosen the right way to go.
We are very relieved, The doctor rang this morning for an update, she was very nice and said any worry just ring for an appointment. But she can ring her nurse at the hospital with any worries
It's not been too cold today thank goodness,
Yesterday, we kept Misty in after her dinner as we didn't know how long we would be at the hospital, and knew it would be getting colder and dark before we got home, but she wanted to go out and had one of her tantrums, racing round the house upstairs and down then she shot up the curtains to the top but her claws were stuck and she couldn't get down, she did eventually retract claws and slowly slide down but it was so funny to see, she was a bit quieter after that, but she sure does have a hissy fit when she is annoyed.
Had a quiet day with lots of little filler jobs.
Have a nice weekend
