Village Christmas Lights Switch On

Early swim this afternoon and enjoyed 50 minutes with the swim lane all to myself.

Walked down to the village this evening for the Christmas Lights event and enjoyed my first mulled wine of the season while watching the brass band.

Enjoyed some wine tasting with the local vineyard Westwell Wines in the church barn. The sparkling wine was very bubbly. I asked how many Kent vineyards there are now and was surprised to hear over 200! Bought a couple of handmade soaps and some scented pillows for Christmas gifts.

Afterwards an adult choir of 120 people sang a few festive numbers. My friend knew someone in the choir and had promised to watch the performance. It was rather painful and the last soloist sounded more like a karaoke but we were polite and stayed until the end. Our good deed of the day!
