2024 Friday — The Day After

I’m not quite ready to say “Goodbye” to November; tomorrow, though, is the finale. The eleventh month has a quiet wholesome beauty and a definite attitude change from the previous months. The days are short. The nights are cold. Some families gather; some scatter; most celebrate a holiday. This is a November we will not soon forget; actually it will go down in history. Twenty-four hours are all that remains of this fabulous month.

For Mr. Fun & I this day marks six months until our 60th wedding anniversary. The hardest thing we’ve ever done is stay married, not much of these 59 years and 6 months has been smooth or stress-free. We’re positive that the glue of God’s Holy Spirit gets all the credit for these two selfish, rebellious humans staying together since we were 15 & 19.

We are getting to live the “happily ever after” which is the book of our lives. Only Jesus could have written our story. We realize the supernatural protection our Heavenly Father provided during our wreckless years of youth; as well as every day of our lives.

We do not have enough vocabulary to adequately thank all our friends for their camaraderie and their prayers. We have nothing significant planned for our May 29th event EXCEPT to celebrate every day on our way to that moment and to give God the glory. In case you did not know, we celebrate, really celebrate, the 29th day every month (and we have today).
