Priory Tinkerbells
Had a great day up at Priory Church on a photography workshop with my sister (Akasha). Bridlington Priory is celebrating it's 900 birthday this year, so it has been putting on various workshops over the past few months. Some of my friends have attended workshops on ironmongery and stone masonry, and my felt artist friend is holding a felt art workshop in September (which I'll be attending).
The sun was shining and so it was perfect weather for a photography workshop. We spent the morning doing indoor shots of the Priory. This was a little out of my comfort zone, but it was fun and allowed me to experiment and have a free run of the church to find all sorts of interesting carvings and objects.
The afternoon session was spent around the churchyard, this provided lots of plants, insects, gravestones, shadows and a wedding. I was spoilt for choice of what to blip today, but in the end I chose this shot. These little cherubs were running around after escaping the confines of the church and I couldn't resist!
When I got home, I photographed a convoy of American cars that cruised by the house....they do this every year when they come over to display them at Sewerby Gala. Everyone comes out to wave at them and they toot and wave back.
A terrific day for photos!
