While on my runs

Mid-level garden

This garden was created when the retaining wall had to be replaced, before we could begin the renovations to the house. The old Ponga log wall was incapable of preventing the bank from collapsing; into the house. The garden has some very different plants. In the left foreground is one of three rhubarb plants; some of the fronds of two (relocated from the old bank) Ponga can be seen in the distance. A blackberry plant has produced a small number of very nice berries, some of which have been scavenged by raiders unknown. In the right foreground are two pineapple plants.

This afternoon I weeded where last year's tomato plants produced a good supply of tomatoes, and the next task is to plant some new ones.

I then had a pleasant walk including along the lower pipe line, which is where I saw a plant growing out of an old Ponga stump (see extra).
