Saturday
After wandering around the fields below and dredging the stream including removing all of the branches and leaf debris we headed to Bideford ParkRun.
Dippy was in his usual “let’s round this lot up” mode and was excited to see everyone.
A drive through Weare Gifford on my way to Great Torrington and a visit to the village craft fair provided cake and a warm drink. The sellers had some great things to offer, I was impressed by the number of people with tables. crammed into the village hall.
I brought a few items and enjoyed some banter before popping to Torrington to get cash and collect my post.
A quick bite to eat and a drink before heading back to hand the cash to those who I had made purchases from.
A walk along the lane provided me with today’s blip collage, it’s from a mosaic made by school children and summarises the local wildlife, including the famous Tarka the Otter. A great spotted woodpecker was extraordinarily vociferous together with wren and Robin who were all enjoying the 14 degrees Celsius.
Back to base via a shop to look for and purchase some weighing scales and pastry cutters. Watch this space ;)
Mixed vegetable stir fry was well received before opening the pile of post and Zzzzzzz.
