Ties that bind

I don't usually keep items of clothing for any great length of time, usually because they seem to shrink whilst I'm not looking. But I do keep all my ties as a sort of aide memoir of my sartorial elegance - or lack of it - depending on your point of view.

These ties must span at least four decades of fashion faux pas from the kipper ties of the 70s, the knitted ties of the 80s through to the more austere 90s. I no longer wear ties apart from weddings and funerals, but its nice to think that you could be a peacock now and then.

If nothing else it reminds me of how much money I've wasted over the years.
