A day of two halves
In the morning I did errands - including getting oral care biscuits from the vets - where I saw that lovely tree top left, in their car park. And even did a little bit of gardening, as it was so mild.
In the afternoon I went to Gloucestershire. You may have read that on Monday I had a ticket to go to the Van Gogh exhibition at the National Gallery, but couldn’t get to London because the floods had caused all trains to be cancelled. Co-incidentally I heard an organisation called Exhibition on Screen had made a film of the same exhibition, with art experts explaining some of the paintings and his life, specifically his two years in Arles. It wasn’t on in Bristol, but it was on in the Electric Picture House in Wotton-under-Edge. So I booked and went. A lovely little community cinema, and the film was fantastic, and arguably as good as seeing the paintings. Nothing like a film about a painter you get you looking carefully around when you come out of the cinema. It’s a nice little town, here are 3 pics I took around 4.45.
I got home just in time to listen to Arsenal win 5-2 at West Ham. And then did some blip catching up, looking at people’s journals, which I’d got a bit behind on.
