Christmas elves

Graham and I went into Southampton this morning to find a present for each other and a few other things. We arrived just before 11 and left about 12.30 including a coffee stop so I think we did rather well. These two young women were in John Lewis being jolly elves. They were happy to strike a pose for me. I asked them how they stayed so cheerful and smiley and they said ‘it’s Christmas!’ Bah humbug I say! Talking of elf, Amy tells me elf on the shelf has appeared, I do feel sorry for parents! The girls were very excited when I saw them this afternoon.
