A noble beast
It was very dull and drizzly this morning, so we got stuck into the housework.
Fortunately, we discovered that on BBC Radio 3,to mark the start of Advent, all day long they were broadcasting " Carols across the Country " which proved a wonderful listen. There was Christmas music old and new, some very familiar,
some completely unknown to us, being played from 6.30am until 7.30pm. Some was recorded but most was live. We tuned in mid morning to hear harp music at the church on St Michael's Mount near Penzance, followed by Gaelic songs and fiddles and pipes in Glenuig in Lochabar. Later, we were taken to Londonderry and finally Mumbles on Swansea Bay for male voice choir singing.
What a great distraction it turned out to be when doing mundane tasks.
About 3pm the sun appeared briefly so we went out for a walk around our local circuit before the rain set in again. This horse was most obliging when I asked for his photo but he was very damp, poor thing!
