Today’s photo is of a ‘Perfect’ flower.
How so you ask.

Perfect flowers have both stamens and carpels, other terms used to describe this condition are androgynous, hermaphroditic, monoclinous and synoecious.
What is taught as throwaway asides during the RHS Level 1 course is interesting, amazing and surprising. Along with the practical side it keeps me going back for more.

MOT news, as I suspected more needed doing but for a garage bill around the price of four return trips to London by train I get another years motoring.
