Last Thursday I showed St Giles Cathedral spire lit up by the sun and here it is floodlit as it usually appears each evening.  This evening hundreds of people were going in to hear the very talented Michael Harris play music for Advent on the marvellous organ before his imminent retiral as Musical Director. We were very impressed by a young two year old who was sitting beside us absorbed in watching the organ screen and copying the movements of the organist’s hands on the keyboard and never lost his concentration during the whole hour.
