It's a mystery

An early visit to the allotment, my first since Storm Bert, so expecting the worst. No damage on my plot so that was a reluef. I needed to barricade the perennial kale in. Damn pigeons!
A box of 2 fresh cream éclairs had Mum's & my names on them at the Coop this morning, so into the basket they went.
Down at CK, I put the éclairs in the fridge, then I got Mum showered, made her breakfast, stripped the bed, got that going in the machine. Set off for a lap of the heath with Indie once she'd had a corner of Mum's toast. Rain overnight had created some lovely puddles & reflections. It was really mild, but mizzly. The sun came out just as we got back so planted up the window box & planters in Mum's back garden with violas, rockery tulips & dwarf daffodils. Brushed up the moss, the magpies flip the moss on the roof slates looking for grubs creating a real mess. Quickly pruned the Abelia & couple of other shrubs. Time for coffee & chocolate éclair. Went to the fridge, no éclairs. I looked in every kitchen cupboard. Nothing! Asked Mum who was trying to make the coffee. She had no idea. I took another look around, then looked in the kitchen waste bin. THERE WAS THE EMPTY BOX. Mum must have eaten them both after eating her breakfast & before I returned with Indie.
Mum came back to Chudleigh for a roast meal. I played Strictly on playback for her while I did the prep. Some brilliant dancing last night, a few surprises tonight.
