Christmas lights

It is December 1, so I will start showing some photos of Christmas light displays.

I spent some time arranging the furniture in the living room this afternoon. The windows jut out from the main area. They are not a bay window. It makes the living room an L shape. I knew my desk was going in the window and the TV would be on the wall that joins the kitchen. I finally decided to have the chesterfield face the TV stand, rather than have it at a 90 degree angle to it. One of my tables fits in the L behind the chesterfield, and it will give the cats a good place to sit and watch what goes on outside. I may have room to get a new recliner now. The cats had shredded one side of the old one, so it went to the garbage before I moved.

The owner's nephew was not available to meet me today to get the keys to the old place. So he suggested that I lock the house and leave a key in the mailbox for him to pick up. That was much easier for me, it meant I did not have to see him in person. He messaged me after he picked up the key and asked why there was a real estate lock on the outside tap. My reply was that he should tell me why it was there since he was the one that put it there. Then he decided that he put it there when someone was hired to do some work on the house, but the guy never showed up. I am glad that is over with. Now I have to wait 10 days to find out if the owner is going to send my damage deposit back, or if I will have to take her to the tenancy board.

The owner where I live now came upstairs this afternoon to talk to me about what is happening with the insulation. Living here vs the last place is like night and day.
