Winter Trees
This morning was dry but a westerly wind brought a distinct chill to the air. We walked near the sea at Prinsted and watched groups of Brent geese which overwinter along this coast, bobbing along in the sea. Inland a group of curlew fed on the muddy fields.
As we looped back to our starting point, we passed this apple orchard. At one time this area had many fruit orchards and nurseries. This remnant feels rather precious. I like to watch it change through the seasons and seeing it now resting for winter feels poignant.
Hoping your start to the week has gone smoothly.
