After a normal (uneventful) morning, my afternoon shopping fun in Hobbycraft was cut short by the rapid onset of a visual migraine - where it's like driving through a kaleidoscope on a rainy night. Haven't had one of those for at least two years and no idea why I got one today other than the insomnia has been particularly bad for the last few weeks - since I got back to Blighty in fact. 

Oh well. Fortunately it passed off sufficiently for me to take the woofer for his regular but brief 21.30 patrol where we noticed several neighbours have now decorated their houses for the upcoming festivities. I won't decorate outside,  but it is a reminder that it's probably time to ask bro to get the tree and decs down from the attic.
