Seriously?

Wanting, needing, to find some occupation(s) in a cold wintry Essex other that Netflix and knitting, I recently joined an online group called Level who are (apparently) a London based group offering online lectures on topics related to Art and culture (more information here). I found this group whilst initially searching on Facebook for things to do in Chelmsford.  One thing led to another as it always does, and further Googling (is that a verb now?) of various keywords, I stumbled across sth called Meetup - that I've never heard of, but has apparently existed since 2002. According to Wikipedia Meetup is a social media platform for hosting and organizing in-person and virtual activities, gatherings, and events for people and communities of similar interests, hobbies, and professions. Who knew? Probably everyone except me. Anyway, having found a local book club (more about that tomorrow), further key strokes led me to Level. At 18.00 today I attended an online 60 min talk entitled "Doodling in the Arts and as an Art". My main take away was some fascinating doodles drawn by Da Vinci and Michelangelo et al, and learning new (to me) polysyllabic nouns mostly of French origin*  What is also of interest to me is that after half an hour watching and listening, I found myself doodling several fictitious art theme characters - of which today's little drawing is one. Haven't done any drawing for ages so I'm feeling good - especially as yesterday's migraine has moved out of my head.

Before the talk I'd enjoyed another kind of chat - a 75 min catch up video call with Marjorie in Germany, and after the Level lecture bro came for dinner, so it was a good day. Cold, which needed to be endured for woofer walkies, but, hey, it's England in December. If you can't take a joke.......

*Gribouillage : translates as 'poorly drawn, like a child' - which is interpreted as 'doodle'.
