Forest Path

I went for a walk in the woods today and to my delight I was accompanied by three crows who followed along from tree to tree to keep me company. It was a beautiful day -- not too hot with a lovely breeze.

After I got home I took Lizzie out for another weigh-in. She's now down one ounce short of three pounds which has earned her congratulations from the entire staff at the vet. At the moment she's lying out on the patio enjoying the sun and so far hasn't looked as though she's interested in another bird. Perhaps the little fellow she grabbed yesterday just stumbled in front of her and she took advantage of the moment. She's never been much of a hunter, even in her skinny days and I'm hoping she stays that way.
