Tiny problem
Today's small and monochrome blip is a close-up of the tape heads on my Commodore C2N tape deck. ON the left is the erase head, then the tension sensor, just to the right of centre is the main read/write head and then there is the pinch roller.
I thought I'd give it another try tonight now I have some calibration software on the computer - I took a picture first. I've confirmed after a little fiddling that the belt is probably coming to the end of its life and the tape speed is all over the place which is visible on the alignment monitoring software. Unlike my Sony tape deck and Sony Walkman which are a Tour de Force to take apart and swap the belts, at least for my C2N it's supposed to be very simple and thankfully the belts are cheap and easily obtainable.
