The African Room

Well, another fieldtrip under our belts. The bus ride down wasn't bad but it felt so long coming home and the wind kicked up at the Wyoming boarder. The museum had several rooms of European paintings and then one with the African pieces. The kids were in 3 separate groups and one of the stops was crafts. The rooms were fairly small and we had a lot of kids in a group. I think they are used to about 10 people in a group. We had 32 upper elementary kids in my group. To their credit no one touched the art or fell into it or anything disastrous. The African room was definitely my favorite. It is always hard to relax and just enjoy the artwork when you have to watch everyone like a hawk but it was fun to see it all.
