Electric Dreams
Walked through the city to the Tate Modern; a dry sunny cool morning.
Saw the Electric Dreams exhibit; some very fine things, many of them moving images and projections. Blip is by Marina Apollonio, Dinamica Circolare - a flat disc with no actual movement.
In extra, there's a whole room set up for the Carlos Crus-Diez Environnement Chromointerférent piece. Very impressive.
The Solid Light show is more sculpting with light and projections; you wander about in big spaces in the almost dark and watch the large moving shapes.
Found my way to the top floor coffee shop for the views all around towards the river; the balcony was closed else there'd have been a picture from there too. Walked along the South Bank beyond the Globe Theatre to London Bridge, along the path and the tunnels on the North side of the river, then back to the Barbican.
Afternoon meeting happened as planned; there was a very interesting visit in the evening to a photographic society meeting with @hclaireb. A competition, with entries being judged and ranked and commented on. Necessarily dominated by the judge's preferences.
