Oswestry Hill Fort

Today, we enjoyed a muddy walk around this ancient hill fort. Dating back to 800 BC, it is one of the best preserved in Britain and now appears occupied by many black sheep. 

My daughter and I had three dogs with us today. We finished our walk with a delicious lunch in a dog-friendly cafe near Whittington Castle. So much history in just one day.
