Christmas Events

This afternoon I went over to Cromer for a fabulous reading of A Christmas Carol, it’s my favourite book and I really enjoyed the reading. Graham Seed (who played Nigel Pargetter in The Archers) was Scrooge; with the narrators being Brian Capron (who was Richard Hillman in Corrie); Sabina Franklin (Midsummer Murders); and Jenny Funnell (As Time Goes By). The reading lasted just over two hours, with a 10 min interval, and they are doing four performances. There was also a collection for the RNLI. I took this phone photo of the pier in a slight mist after I left. It had been thick fog when I drove over mid afternoon, but thankfully that had mostly disappeared by the time I drove home. 

It’s been a Christmassy couple of days as I went to a Carol Service last night with G & M at Gresham’s Chapel which was in support of EACH (East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices). It was what a Carol service should be with performances by kids from Sheringham Primary School which they signed; Sheringham & Cromer Brass Band; kids from Kelling Primary School; readings, a local trio singling two very old carols; kids from Greshams Pre Prep School; and four carols we all sang. Delightful.
