A Canadian in Christchurch
WEDNESDAY
It’s been a cold, damp day, and I’ve spent most of it indoors.
We had a scheduled visit from a compliance auditor as part of the Government’s Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme (GBVS). The auditor inspected the recently upgraded full fibre broadband installation and tested the speeds, confirming we’re getting around 550 Mbps.
Later in the afternoon, I managed a brief walk around the village, but I struggled to get a decent blip photo.
On the other side of the world, Harriet and George caught an early flight from Wellington to Christchurch. At 8:00 pm this evening, Harriet sent me a photo of Maple Pinecone (the little one they brought back from Canada on their honeymoon in June) on the plane after it landed.
Still Wednesday here, but it was 9:00 am Thursday in New Zealand, and Blip gave me a subtle warning, telling me I was trying to post a photo "from the future."
